Share a Book Donation - Used Books to Benefit Brighter Bahamas
Crisafulli School is excited to be able to partake in a book donation for The Brighter Bahamas Foundation.  The Brighter Bahamas Foundation (BBF) is a non-profit organization based in Nassau, Bahamas, and focuses on promoting literacy for Bahamian children. Created by Jehan and Kristen Unwala, the son-in-law and daughter of Bev Walsh, a retired Robinson School 2nd grade teacher, the mission of BBF is to improve the lives of all Bahamians by encouraging reading from a young age and ensuring universal access to children's literature.

At BBF, they believe that increasing literacy enhances quality of life, and their vision is a Bahamas where every child loves reading and every parent recognizes that reading is a gateway to academic, economic, and civic success.

To support this worthy cause, the Crisafulli School will be collecting new and used (in good condition) children's books, appropriate for readers in grades 3 - 5.  Please label NEW books with a post-it inside the front page stating “new.” For some children in the Bahamas, these donated books might be the very first books these children have ever owned! This is an opportunity for your children to care about others, show kindness, and promote reading.

Please donate books to the school lobby from September 7th - September 22nd.
For more information, please visit www.brighterbahamas.org.
